Milblog Reflection #3
This week, the blog post Faith on a Shoestring really resonated with me. It seems like at every turn, the military fails to adequately support our troops, whether it concerns mental health or spiritual needs. I understand that the majority has needs as well as the minority, and I don’t wish the services to stop if the majority of people are benefiting from them, but to shove religion down a person’s throat who was alienated by that same religion seems contrary to our very Bill of Rights.

yeah - there was a really sad article in the Journal Gazette this morning, about the troops returning home with brain injuries.
I agree about the support. Even though people may be against this fighting, we should still keep in mind the lives of those who are overseas that they may return safely. Hopefully, they won't have had to kill to do so.
I read the same post and felt similar. I think it is a poverty that there is so much suffering with this war. I heard someone talking on NPR and they said that the hardest job in the military is being a military spouse--most assuredly the post Faith on a Shoestring is a testament to that.
I agree that we should not push religion upon our fellow man but he does have the choice of attending such events. Also, the most important item to be concerned with is the safe return of our troops.
